Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

1. Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP)

VeritaMed.ai performs daily automated, encrypted backups of all databases. Backups are stored in geographically redundant, HIPAA‑compliant cloud storage.

• Recovery Time Objective (RTO): 4 hours
• Recovery Point Objective (RPO): 24 hours (daily backups)

2. Business Continuity

In the event of a major outage (e.g., cloud region failure), we will restore services from the secondary backup region. Our infrastructure is designed for high availability with auto‑failover.

3. Testing

The DRP is tested quarterly through simulated failover exercises. Test results are documented and reviewed by our security committee.

4. Notification

In case of a disaster that impacts service availability, we will notify affected Covered Entities via the dashboard and email within 2 hours.
